Our Programs

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to providing a safe space where families find strength and healing together. We understand that the journey through pediatric medical challenges is deeply personal and often overwhelming. Our approach prioritizes the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of every family member, ensuring that you are never alone in your experience.

Ronald McDonald House programs help families access their child’s medical care by providing accommodations near hospitals and essential resources. We believe the entire family needs comfort and support when a child is sick and should be fully involved with health care providers about the care and services their child receives.

Ronald McDonald House programs provide meals, activities, laundry and many other services to strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare.

When a child is sick, the entire family needs to be supported. Ronald McDonald House does this by removing barriers to care and strengthening families by also addressing their social determinants of health.

Our services are intentionally designed for a very specific population: families of children with serious, chronic conditions.

All families who walk through our doors are being forced to navigate one of – if not the – hardest time in their lives, most often when their child has been diagnosed with a serious chronic condition such as cancer, a complex heart condition, or one requiring specialized NICU or PICU care.

Caregivers come to us already carrying economic stress, housing and food insecurity needs, and high levels of anxiety and depression. And when their child is diagnosed, those pressures compound.

Families travel far and stay long, often uprooting their lives, including jobs, other children, and income, and the effects are both immediate and long-lasting.
